Our Philosophy:
As Early Childhood Educators we believe.... The preschool program should be planned to stimulate the physical, social, emotional and intellectual growth of each child. Each child has a unique rate of development which should not be hurried or forced. Different levels of development and ability are expected, valued and accepted. Play is an important part of the early childhood learning experience and should be reflected in the daily schedule. Children learn by doing, imitating, observing, exploring, examining, investigating, experimenting and questioning. Parents and families are an important part of children’s lives and should be actively involved in their children’s education. |
Creative Curriculum Gold Assessment ToolStudents are assessed 3 times a year (fall, winter, and spring) using the Teaching Strategies GOLD assessment. The Gold assessment uses play based strategies to assess children in the areas of Social-Emotional, Physical, Language, Cognitive, Literacy, and Math.

Literacy CurriculumThe Zoo-phonics is a multi-sensory Language Arts program. Zoo-phonics uses animals drawn in the shapes of the letters for ease in memory. A related body movement is given for each letter. Lowercase letters and their sounds are taught first (needed 95% of the time in text), capital letters and letter names are taught later.

Math CurriculumEveryday Math is a curriculum based on every day mathematical use to build a strong foundation in their elementary education years. This curriculum uses games and activities to teach and build on student's mathematical skills.
